Nevaeh's Birthday Card

Our little Nevaeh turns 1 on September 28th! This is the card I made for her, totally CASEd from this card by ncmorgan on splitcoaststampers. I thought it was just adorable! Now I just have to wait for all of my family to sign it before I can pop it in the mail. Boy, this is a busy month for birthdays!

September Club Fun

Well, club was fun tonight, we got off to a quick start and were done by 9pm! Thank you to Dawn, Leah, and Crystal for helping with the Operation Quiet Comfort project, it is much appreciated! Little Lamia had us all laughing as she tried to help Momma and fed the puppy!

Next month will be hosted by the lovely Dawn at her house, and Leah has generously offered her home for the November meeting. We still need to pick a day for the October meeting though! It is coming up fast.
Leah has requested that we make Luminaries next month, and I think we will try to do something with the Crop-A-Dile too. Anyone else has some requests, just let me know!

More From September Stamp Club

This is the card I am going to send to Operation Quiet Comfort which sends "Go-Kits" to injured US soldiers and they include donated cards with messages of support and thanks. Hopefully everyone will have time to make the cards before the end of Club!

This is one of the Christams cards that we will be making, probably the quickest cards of the night.
And this is the other Christmas card we will be making. I plan to do a Christmas card class in late october/early November where people sign up ahead of time, come and make 10 cards for around $10-15, depending on the cost of supplies. If there is enough interest I'll have 2 sessions! Let me know if you are interested.

Birthday Card for Niece

Here is the card I just made my niece Kaylee who will be turning 5 this year! We share the same birthday, she was born at 12:01am on my birthday. Very cool! This year, she said to Grandma Weener (my mother-in -law, Irene. Irene, Reener, Weener, get it? This is a nickname she picked up as a child when her brothers and sisters couldn't say Irene) Anyway! Kaylee said "Grandma, this yeat Auntie Tanya should come to visit for our birthday and we can blow the candles out on our cake together. That's what we should do, OK?" I really wish I could, but alas, I have to work. I totally CASED this card from stampin_KML at splitcoaststampers.com. You can see the inspiration card here.

I used Pink Passion, Whisper White, and Sahara Sand paper. Used the Paisley BG stamp with Passion Pink ink on card base, the Sahara Sand on the Scallop Circle punched white paper. Used a flower from Fabulous Flowers set in circle, rhino from Zoofari set, colored with blender pen and Sand and Pretty in Pink for toes and horn. Handdrew the hat and colored with Sand and Pretty markers, cut hat out and adhered to rhino. Used Crop-A-Dile (LOVE that thing!) to set the pink eyelets in corners after using Word Window punch to do the ticket corners. adhered white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, put a sticky rhinestone in center of flower, put Fruit Punch Stickles on flower petals and tassel on hat. It actually only took about 15 minutes to make since I didn't have to think, just copied it!

A Sneak Peek at Stamp Club 9/2107

Alright ladies, I finally had some time to put this together for you. I know that the projects this month are going to keep us all busy. More is never enough! I really love the seasons coming in the next few months, it's all about family! And there are so many family gatherings and beautiful scenery changes, there are endless opportunites for great photos and decorating I have a hard time limiting what I want to show everyone on Stamp Club night!

So the first project I'll give you a sneak peek at is the Halloween card we will be making. The cute pumpkin at the bottom is made with the oval punch, inking the edges of the paper, and gluing it all together. Quick and easy, and very cute.

This is the Autumn project we'll be doing. I can just picture four 3"x4" pictures (one of each of my kids) around the circle and journaling on the circle. I used versamark ink and pastels to do the leaves and don't you just love the rhinestone brad in the center?! Ok, it looks really great in real life, it is green, and so pretty. I could have kept going adding detail to this page, but I'll let everyone do those things on their own.

I'm excited to see everyone at the party, we are going to have so much fun!

This is my first posting on this blog, it may take some time for me to get this the way I like it. This weekend was my oldest son's 18th birthday. Wow, did I just say that?! I'm way too young to have an 18 year old! LOL! It was also the Vitual Stamp Night on splitcoaststampers.com , way exciting! I didn't get to do musch stampin though as my in-laws came over on Saturday to celebrate, then on Sunday David, my son, had a few friends over to celebrate. Sounds like a real party house doesn't it?! But I did get to do a couple cards.

I started with white card stock, sponged some Cranberry Crisp, then some Marigold Morning, but the marigold morning wasn't covering the way I wanted so I used a brayer to put the Marigold on, then sponged some more Cranberry on the paper. Then I used Chocolate Chip and stamps from the Autumn Leaf Prints set, then distressed the edges. I used the word window punch to make the ticket corner look. Matted onto Cranberry Crisp cardstock, then put brads ion the corners, mounted all this on Marigold Morning cardstock and voila, done!

This one is done using the Emerging Colors technique which can be found here

I used the So Very, Fabulous Flowers, and Baroque Motifs stamp sets for this. First I stamped the So Very and "loved" and "sweet" in Wild Wasabi and Bayou Blue, then the flower in versamark, embossed with clear EP and then used the brayer and Blue to cover everything. Stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs with Chocolate Chip. Wiped the ink off the embossed flower, distressed the edges and mounted on Choc Chip and Bayou Blue cardstock.
